Tattoo Tryouts

Before you get your first tattoo or your tenth, there is a process you should go through to make sure you are getting the tattoo that is just right for you. hasty decisions can lead to disastrous results, and in the end you'll be trying to figure out how to live with or remove something you just don't like.

The first order of business is to make sure that you go to a tattoo artist who is truly an artist. You wouldn't let your three year old paint your walls (even though they want to) and you don't want some hack inking your skin. You can repaint walls easily enough, but that's just not the case with your body. There is no more precious real estate in the world. You have a finite amount of it and it's not going to last forever, treat it as though it were worth a million bucks and you might just be underselling yourself.

Next, make sure you look a plenty of tattoo designs. While you can find free galleries on the internet, you probably should just shell out a few bucks to see the good stuff or get a book of great designs. A good tattoo artist can reproduce almost anything, so make sure that you are taking them something that is just right, and not just what you could find in ten minuets. You're going to be wearing it the rest of your life, spend some careful time and maybe a little dough to get it just right.

Even after you think you've hit on the best design you can reasonably find, you might want to try out your new tat before you get it etched. Henna is a great option for this. Have someone do the design in Henna and then show it off a bit and see how you, and other react to it. Since it isn't permanent you won't mind as much if someone tells you they don't like it - it will be gone in a couple of months or so.

You might want to try out several different designs taht way and see what gets the best reaction. Your spouse may love one and hate another. You need to make sure you like it, of course, but in the end you want to show it off and have other people like it as well.

Just keep in mind that a tattoo is permanent, and what looks good on one person might not look great on you. Take the time to look for a while and even try out some designs one at a time with Mendhi inks so that you can be sure you are getting just what you bargained for.

Instead of being in a rush to just get another tattoo, you can actually slow down and enjoy the process for a while. Searching for new designs you've never seen, trying them out on your body - maybe even in different locations will let you know that you've hit on exactly the right thing because you've already worn it for a while and love it.
